The latest news we had of the update to Android Pie Huawei devices dated from October, after a beta of a few weeks. It was then only two lucky models, but we have good news who were waiting for their share of cake: Android Pie now reaches seven models of Huawei.
They are the Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, Honor Play, Honor View 10 and Honor 10 that receive Android 9 Pie accompanied by EMUI 9. It is a final version, not beta, and it is being distributed globally, so it should arrive “soon”.
Everything goes according to the plan, more or less
According to the schedule of updates that Huawei dictated in August, just after the presentation of Android Pie, the first to receive the update should be the Huawei P20.
It was then spoken of September and, although the beta did arrive then, the final version has taken a little longer, although the Huawei P20 Lite is lost along the way, which does not receive Pie yet.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 join the list, which in this case had no forecast of when they would arrive, and three Honor models: Honor Play, Honor View 10 and Honor 10. All of them will receive at some point, through OTA, the update to EMUI 9 based on Android Pie.
It’s time to experience #EMUI 9.0 on your favorite #HUAWEI device. If you own one of these devices, EMUI 9.0 will be with you very soon! Stay tuned.#HigherIntelligence #HUAWEIMate10 #HUAWEIMate10Pro #HUAWEIP20#HUAWEIP20Pro #HonorPlay #HonorView10 #Honor10 pic.twitter.com/UOeFVd8UPU

The update comes from the hand of EMUI 9.0, Huawei’s custom layer, which involves a change in the interface and greater use of artificial intelligence to reduce the opening time of applications and, according to Huawei, greater fluidity in the use of the system.
Another outstanding innovation of EMUI 9.0 is GPU Turbo 2.0, which also uses artificial intelligence to, according to its own measurements, increase the fluidity and reduce the latency in games by around 36% with respect to an earlier version. The changes are completed with new applications and services like HiVision, your own Google Lens. This, and the innovations of Android Pie, of course.
